Call me romantic, outdated, or perhaps a dinosaur, but even as social networks like Twitter/X become the go-to place for real-time news and unfiltered thoughts, I still struggle to engage in structured conversations and debates with those who share my passion for economics, financial analysis, and financial markets.
JustForum has been on my mind for quite some time, but the decision to launch it came after publishing my analysis on Nvidia last year. The backlash I received was not only incredible in its intensity but also unacceptable in its tone for a civilized world. While I welcome constructive criticism and civilized debates that enrich everyone through shared knowledge, social networks often fall short as a suitable platform. Despite significant improvements on Twitter/X—for which I'm grateful to my kind followers—I believe we need a dedicated space for those eager to share knowledge, ideas, and suggestions to support financial decisions in our increasingly complex world.
JustForum aims to be unique: a community for those hungry for financial knowledge, research, and analysis, helping everyone without pushing any editorial agenda or spoon-fed narratives.
As a result, JustForum will have very few rules:
- No insults, bad language, or uncivilized behavior.
- Join the community to contribute, not to undermine it.
- JustForum is strictly for discussions on financial markets, economics, and financial analysis. No politics, gossip, or unrelated topics—let's leave those to social networks.
- JustForum is and will always remain free. However, access will be restricted to protect the interests of participants and the community as a whole. We don't need another "shouting arena" on the internet.
Those who follow me on Twitter/X know I always strive to reply to comments and highlight interesting ones. However, the social media format isn't ideal for this. That's why, alongside JustForum, I'm launching AskDario. This platform will allow everyone to ask me questions directly and for the community to contribute, filling gaps in my knowledge.
Thanks to all who have already joined, and to the many I look forward to welcoming. I hope this will be the beginning of a fulfilling and enriching new adventure.
Dario
(Since there is no translate button, I guess it is correct to write in English, I will use translate to translate my Italian).
I take advantage of the forum to resume the discussion of registration and login to the site.
Now looking at the forum, I see that the login actually works, but after having done it, at the top the login and registration buttons remain, instead of a button with your profile logged in (like on all sites).
From the forum - my profile, I can see my public profile, and see that of others.
By not updating the login, the personal profile page is missing, with my data, including the possibility of changing avatar.
